TONY IOMMI: 'Fused' First-Week Chart Positions Revealed
July 24, 2005BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi's new solo album, "Fused", has registered the following first-week chart positions in Europe:
#39: Finland
#43: Sweden
"Fused" sold approximately 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Joining Iommi on "Fused" is ex-DEEP PURPLE legend Glenn Hughes and former JOHN MELLENCAMP drummer Kenny Aronoff, who has also played sessions with the likes of THE ROLLING STONES, BOB DYLAN, ROD STEWART, ALICE COOPER, BOB SEGER, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and countless others. The CD cover was designed by U.K.-based designer Hugh Gilmour, who has previously worked on covers for BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, IRON MAIDEN, MOTÖRHEAD, DAVID BOWIE and THE BEATLES, among others. A tour to promote "Fused" will take place later this year after BLACK SABBATH finishes headlining the 10th anniversary Ozzfest tour.
